Jason E Raines is an artist and animator in Portland, Oregon. Though his focus is primarily in entertainment media, Jason has made a career of being a jack-of-all-trades, and a master of six or seven.
Starting as a comic book artist at age 21, Jason eventually moved into animation & storyboards in his mid-20s, moving to Hollywood at age 28. After 10 years of the Hollywood Industrial Complex, working for companies like MGM, VH1, Brooksfilm, National Lampoon and more, Jason moved back to Portland to pursue his passion - art and music.
Jason is a skilled illustrator and animator, with skill subsets that include computer generated 3D animation as well as classical hand-drawn 2D animation, hand-painted illustrations in every medium from acrylic paint to pen & ink, digital painting and much more.
With a sharp eye for beautiful imagery and the ability to create whatever his mind's eye can conceive, Jason has traveled an interesting and intriguing road on his artistic journey. The trip is long from over, and there are a lot of really cool things yet to see on the way.
